With the buzz of the development becoming increasingly present in the local community and beyond, Love Wolverton has been placed in the spotlight picking up a top planning prize at this year’s Planning Awards as well as two awards at the Housing Design Awards.
The scheme was awarded Planning Permission of the Year, reflecting the hard work by the Local Planning Authority, the community and project team to progress the much-needed regeneration of the Agora site.
Similarly, the Housing Design Awards which took place in Manchester, was a reminder of the great benefits of the scheme. The awards received were:
• The ‘Building for a Healthy Life’ award, which recognises housing-led urban design which supports active, healthy lifestyles; and
• The ‘Healthy Homes’ award, which focuses on the design of housing for comfort, amenity and wellbeing.
With these accolades behind the project, MKCC and TOWN continue with energy to progress the scheme into the forthcoming construction phase.
